Thanksgiving activities: Free prepositions cards

As I promised on Tuesday, today is the first of many Thanksgiving activities and holiday themed freebies for the upcoming three weeks! Today, I'm sharing Turkey Themed preposition cards!

These fun cards were inspired by the Pumpkin printable pack I had put together recently. I had included opposite matching cards, and a few of them were opposite prepositions, such as on top of and underneath.  I ended up demonstrating those cards by placing a pumpkin on top of/underneath a box. It was a simple way to show a very important aspect of speech and grammar to a two year old, while keeping things fun!

For these turkey and scarecrow cards, I focused specifically on prepositions. Older children can match all of the preposition cards that apply to each of the image cards.

For younger ones, like my 2 year old, I would demonstrate what each image is representing with an objects you may have at home.

The preposition cards for toddlers already have the preposition filled in and bolded.
