Healthy Meal Plan: December Week 2

For the past month or so, I have been so excited to get in the kitchen! Beyond excited. The recipe ideas were flowing, and I was getting inspiration ALL. THE. TIME. 

My cooking mo-jo is gone. Poof. All of the sudden I realised, I have no more ideas. I don't feel like making the dishes I already thought up, and have no idea what I want to eat this week. Um what? Maybe it's the lack of sleep because one of my husband's and my favourite netflix shows has a new season and we have been staying up way past our bed times watching (and I'm still getting up at 4.30. Why do I do these things to myself???). 

Basically tired me = lazy me in the kitchen. Even pinterest failed me. Now that is a serious sign of a problem. Pinterest has yet to fail inspiring me to cook at least one dish. So for now, I'm keeping my menu simple. I don't really feel like experimenting, and I'm keeping things open to change as I hope that the cooking fairy will once again stop by and sprinkle some inspiration into my morning coffee. Okay, maybe no cooking fairy, but really, inspiration, come baaaacck.

Squash, fennel and ginger soup via Dolly and Oatmeal
