Easy, non-caffeinated herbal tea recipe

Happy New Year folks! I hope you had a lovely New Years Eve and are excited to kick off 2015! Around here, life is still pretty hectic (I'll be sharing more in my meal plan post on Sunday!), but I do want to pop in to share a lovely herbal tea recipe to help you warm up on these cold winter days!

With the holidays over, I'm really enjoying this tea - it makes a light drink, lacking all of that sugar and heaviness that accompanies hot chocolate or even fizzy drinks. 

Still, loaded with warm flavours, it makes for a nice way to heat up. Plus, it's giving my tummy a break after the treats that accompanied our new years eve celebration.

Let's start of 2015 on a healthy note with this delicious herbal tea!


Herbal tea recipe

5 minutes


Portions 


1 portion

Ingredients


  • 1 sprig of rosemary 
  • 2 sticks of cinammon
  • 2 lemon slices
  • 1 cup water

Instructions


  • Either: Boil water in a kettle, then pour over the remaining ingredients 
  • Or: Boil water in a pot on the stove top with all ingredients. Remove from heat after water boils. 
  • Let cool for a few minutes and serve
