What my toddler ate Wednesday (Paleo kids!)

For today's What I Ate Wednesday post, I thought I would change things up! I am sharing a typical day of meals for my toddler! They're all paleo (except a primal lunch!), and are very representative of any given day. 

Note: my son isn't strictly paleo or anything. He does get grains, quinoa, and good quality dairy every so often. The overwhelming majority of his meals however are paleo because that's what we eat.

Breakfast


An absolute favourite for both the toddler and I - egg muffins! These are filled with salmon and greens and were absolutely yummy! Understandably, Mr. Toddler can eat a whole bunch in one go.

I don't have a photo of his actual plate with this one, but normally, I would give him 2 muffins, water, and some fruit for breakfast. All would be devoured. He's always ravished at breakfast! 

Lunch


Mr. Toddler has been loving his new Bento box! We've had so much fun coming up with creative meals on the go with this! 

This was a very quickly put together lunch during a busy-on-the-go type of day. He had raw veggies, spinach-cheese wraps, and some leftover ham. The cheese came from my uncle in law's farm. Happy cows mean delicious cheese. I literally know exactly where this cheese comes from!

I'll be sharing a round up of the types of meals he enjoys with it another day, but it has made meals on the go so much easier! 

Dinner


Meals on busy days usually mean cleaning out the fridge. We had loads of leftovers to finish up so Mr. Toddler got to pick a few different dinners. He had a red cabbage and potato dish, alongside a random roasted vegetables and sausage dish I had prepped for lunches.

And avocado slices on the side - the kid adores avocado and could easily eat an entire avo in 1 sitting. Actually, he does that. Regularly. I think we need an avocado plant because if he continues like this, our entire food budget will be spent on avocados! 

Snacks


Fruit. And dates. And nuts. And raw veg. Funny thing - the kid adores raw veg. Steamed broccoli? Won't go near it! Raw broccoli? Shovels it into his mouth with both hands. Go for it kid!
