It has been cold here lately. As in freezing. Or rather below freezing. It's cozy inside - heat turned up, sweaters on, and tea sipping in progress. I really hate to be cold, of course, Y is sick, and naturally, with a newborn, we aren't spending much time outdoors in freezing weather. There's not even much to do other than be cold because we don't have any snow - just cold.
So that means we need to think of other ways to stay entertained! Because we can't go outside to make snowmen, we decided to make some indoors using this fun craft!
I have to admit, I'm in love with this black
For this work, we kept the presentation very simple. I gave Y the work with a glue stick and a bowl of cotton balls. I ended up placing everything on a tray.
What you need
To set this fun craft up, you need just a few basic supplies!
- Black construction paper
- Cotton balls or white pom poms
- Bowl, tray, presentation materals
How to set it up
Of course, the set up is extremely easy here. I simply drew a few images on black construction paper for Y to glue pom poms onto. We started off with a snowman, but you can use whatever shape/image you want! How about trying a Christmas tree next time?
Y was very excited to work on this! He got to gluing straight away!
Y has been very eager to count everything lately as we move onto larger numbers. As he was gluing, Y was excited to count the 'snow balls'.
His final product!
Y loved his snowman craft and was so excited to make it a gift for Daddy! He was so proud of his work and we were so pleased to hang it up for everyone to see!
Next time, we'll definitely make a Christmas tree with green pom poms and maybe some ornamenets with different coloured ones!
