Letter Nn book recommendations

Today, we are finally starting Letter N! We're going to try to keep the accompanying set of works really hands on and keep the printables at a minimum! I'm really, really excited about this!

On Tuesday 29 March, I will post the printables for this letter! We are still a bit all over the place, I have to admit due to some pretty huge life changes. However, I will be working really hard over the coming few weeks to catch back up and get everything back on schedule. Also, next Friday, we will not be posting Letter O, but will be continuing with a special Letter N post! Be sure to stay tuned for that!

As always, don't forget to stop by Mumma Diaries to checkout the wonderful hands on activities that Amruta is sharing for her portion of this Letter of the Week series!

Letter Mm book recommendations

Welcome back to another Letter of the Week post! Today, we are finally wrapping up the Letter m with our favourite book picks!

Letter M has been such a fun one to work on, especially with all of the fun additions Amruta and I decided to share with you! This letter of course ended up taking a bit longer than the usual one week to cover, but we hope that you have enjoyed the extra posts and topics. We work really hard to keep this series fun and engaging not only for the kiddos, but for those of you stopping by to get new ideas!

Hands on Letter Mm Activities

Welcome back to Letter of the Week! I'm finally trying to catch up with showing you guys our hands on letter Mm activities! This week was really quite full of hands on learning and Y really loved a lot of the trays.

I have to admit though that there were 2 that particularly caught his attention that the kiddo was very eager to work on repeatedly! I was very happy to see his enthusiasm for learning, but that also meant I was late to changing our trays and hence still haven't showed you guys our space themed works! I'll be catching up on those, as well this week/early next week, but Friday 25 March will be a Letter N related post!

For now, let's checkout the letter m activities!

Space themed printables for preschoolers

This week's Letter of the Week post was kind of supposed to be a moon theme as part of our continuation of letter M, but I got a little bit carried away. Okay, I totally got a a lot carried away and made an entire unit that is space themed.

Aside from sharing a MEGA free space themed printables set, be sure to come back on Tuesday to see an additional set of hands on activities you can use to take your space themed unit to the next level! For now, here are the materials you can use with your preschooler!

How to present Montessori activities to your kids

I am so excited to be participating in a highly requested collaboration today alongside Amruta from Mumma Diaries! Today, we are talking about how to present Montessori style activities to your little ones! Be sure to visit Amruta's youtube channel to see the wonderful tips and ideas she is sharing!

In this post, I am sharing Montessori inspired trays and a few concepts that you can apply to presenting different types of activities to your kids. This post does not contain Montessori materials per se such as the pink tower, sandpaper numbers etc because I wanted to leave a general focus more open to tray work and not just Montessori (inspired) activities.

Here are some practical tips for how to present and demonstrate activities or works, tray work, shelf work etc.

Letter of the Week: Letter Mm printables

Welcome back to this week's Letter of the Week printable pack! Today, I am sharing Letter M printables! Before we get into that, I wanted to have a quick chat with you guys or some general 'house keeping' talk.

This month has been pretty quiet on here. The thing is - I'm hiding a HUGE secret, well several actually. One big thing is personal and I won't be spilling the beans for a while, but it will eventually have an impact on things around here, as well. Keep an eye out in the coming months for an announcement!

There are also several large projects that I am continuing to work on for this blog specifically. I hope to get these launched very soon but it has also involved a lot of work, leaving me much less time for adding new content. So, I'm thinking of taking the rest of the month 'off' from blogging. Or rather, I will be focusing more on the behind the scenes stuff rather than new content quite as much. Letter of the Week however will be continuing back on to the regularly scheduled programme of new content every Tuesday and Friday starting today. In April, I will return to blogging every week day.

Also, don't forget to stop by Amruta's youtube channel over at Mumma Diaries to see all of the lovely Letter M activities she is sharing! There are tons, tons, tons of fabulous hands on activities for teaching your little one all about the letter m!

Spring preschool activities: Flower arranging

Is it warm outside yet? Here, we've really into the rainy season and keep getting horrible storms. I'm so excited for warmer weather, flowers blooming and getting outdoors more once the weather gets better.

Inspired by spring, I created a fun practical life and fine motor work for Y! We took some fake flowers and florist foam and decided to make a lovely flower arrangement!

Cooking with young kids

Cooking with your kids is a fabulous way to bond with them. It can be fun, but also a little bit stressful. Cooking with little ones most definitely tends to take longer and usually involves more clean up, but I try to involve my three and a half year old in the kitchen as much as possible!

Today, I am writing about the wonderful benefits of getting your young kids involved in cooking, as well as sharing some ideas for what they can (safely) do!
